For us, the summer fun list isn’t just for the kids. It’s for me, too! It’s motivating, tbh, because it’s sort of like a to-do list. It helps me to put down my ACTUAL to-do list and be present with the kids while they’re out of school. And yes even as a 40-year-old woman, crossing something off the list feels like an accomplishment! A fun accomplishment. It also provides us some structure on the days that I can feel would be too challenging to stay home… you know the ones, everyone’s fighting, everyone’s bored, I’m tired, etc. etc. Heading out on one of our summer fun activities snaps everyone right out of it, including me.
